	WELCOME YOU TO - LE CONTADOUR Le CONTADOUR (Which means, "The haunt of poets and writers") is a charming provençal "mas" built on six stone terraces covered with olive trees, palm, mimosa, lemon, kiwi, cherry, fig and apple trees. It stands 260 meters above the Var valley with extraordinary uninterrupted views across the mountain, river and the sea beyond. It is an idylic setting in which many artist and writers have found their inspiration. The Medieval village of Gattieres is a 10 minute walk from the villa and has 3 excellent restaurants and bars, plus a supermarket, pharmacy, newsagent, hairdresser, traiteur, butcher and one of the most renowned bakeries in the area, where you can sip your coffee in the morning and watch the village life evolve. The village has retained its authenticity and is very French.
	The villa is also on a bus route to St Laurent du Var and the sea. Nice airport and the Promenade des Anglais is only 20 minutes drive away, with its vast array of shops, its old town, discos, fascinating museums and abundance of international restaurants. Gattieres is extremely well situated to visit the mountain villages with wonderful flora, fauna and diverse walks. The well known GR51 walk crosses through Gattieres for those who enjoy serious walking and carries on right through France for those who enjoy serious walking. Monaco, Cannes, Antibes and the Italian border are all within easy reach by the motorway from St Laurent du Var, a 10-15 minute drive away. The apartment within the villa, has been architecturally designed and has created an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in rustic yet elegant surroundings. It is completely private, with separate entrance and has its own lovely terraces.The entire apartment measures 1002m
	Within the grounds of the villa there is a beautiful natural stone pool terrace surrounded by a profusion of flowers and olive trees. The pool measures 8x5 meters. Access to the pool will be shared with the owners who live on site most of the year. Use of the barbecue, the pizza oven, and the bar, situated on the pool terrace can also be arranged by mutual arrangement with the owners. Your privacy will be observed at all times to ensure a peaceful and harmonious stay during your time at Le CONTADOUR.
	The beamed sitting room is furnished with antiques and is very bright, having French windows opening onto the south facing terrace, again with superb views. A TV set with video recorder, DVD player + the latest films and access to many satellite channels, is available for your entertainment. There is also a CD player installed in the kitchen. Original oil paintings by the resident artist, adorn the walls.
	There are two bedrooms (sleeping maximum of four people)- the main bedroom has 2 single beds each measuring 90x200 cms. These beds can be converted to a double if requested. This attractive provençal style bedroom opens onto a terrace with uninterrupted views south to the sea beyond. A large library of English books is available also. You will be woken to the sound of bird song and the sun streaming through the shuttered windows , for many days of the year.
	The second bedroom is slightly smaller and contains two single beds measuring 90x180 cms. It is equally pretty, very comfortable and has lots of character. Between the two bedrooms is a separate dressing area with large hanging wardrobes and chests of drawers, providing plenty of storage space for suitcases, etc.
	From the sitting room a large archway opens onto a charming fitted kitchen with hand painted provençal tiles. It contains all you need and more, such as a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, fan oven, microwave oven, coffee machine, blender, kettle, teapot, + many extras. The kitchen opens onto a private shaded terrace with a lemon tree, and an ancient olive tree over two hundred years old, which provides perfect shade during the hot months for romantic outdoor dining.
	Off the bedrooms is a large, elegant shower room, including washbasin and toilet. There is a hairdryer provided. Large luxury bath and hand towels are also provided, including bathrobes . More Pictures

BOOKINGS	From Saturday to Saturday
Arrival times between 1600 Hrs-1800 Hrs. Please notify us of your arrival time. Departure times before 1100 Hrs. on final day.
TARIFS: 2009	Including electricity, central heating, water, satellite tv. video library, and linen (except beach towels) plus cleaning on final day.
MID SEASON	12th September - 10th October & 11th April - 13th June € 990 p.w. + 19th December - 2nd January 2010 € 700 pw.
LOW SEASON	10th October - 19th December & 3rd Jan. - 11th April € 500 pw
HIGH SEASON	13th June - 12th September € 1390 p.w.

PAYMENT: - A deposit of 20% of the total rent will be required at the time of booking unless this is within 10 weeks of the commencement date, in which case the full amount is payable. This can be either a Sterling cheque, a Western Union Post Office Transfer, or a Euro cheque/bank draft payable to A FRENCH BANK only. The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. A confirmation of your booking will be sent to you by email. A security deposit of €400 is required to cover any damages incurred. Cash only accepted. It will be refunded on departure subject to no damage and having left the apartment in the same condition as you found it.
